The UFC returns south of the border this Saturday for UFC Mexico Metropolis, headlined by former flyweight champ Brandon Moreno and contender Steve Erceg.
Moreno returned to the win column again in November at UFC Edmonton, defeating one other rising flyweight in Amir Albazi. Now, the storyline is the Mexican’s struggles at house. The ex-champ has fought in Mexico Metropolis thrice for the UFC, and has but to win there, posting an 0-2-1 document in that span. The closest factor to a vibrant spot was a draw with Askar Askarov again in 2019.
Can Moreno flip the script this time round? Australia’s Steve Erceg can have one thing to say about that. A former title challenger, Erceg was unbeaten within the UFC earlier than dropping a title shot towards Alexandre Pantoja. He then misplaced his follow-up bout when he was completed by Kai Kara-France.
Weigh-ins for UFC Mexico Metropolis happen Friday morning; full outcomes could be discovered under.
